Volunteer Opportunities in Maintenance

We have 500 acres of beautiful land, and there's always something to do! Here are just a few ways you can get involved:

  • Mowing & Weed Eating: Take in the scenic views while keeping our grounds pristine.

  • Chainsaw Work: Help clear trails or cut firewood for the winter.

  • Trail Walking & Stacking Wood: Keep our trails safe and ready for the next adventure.

Make an Impact with Your Skills!

Whether it’s cooking meals, doing light cleaning, or tackling a project, we need volunteers who are ready to jump in and make it their own.
Here are some additional tasks where your talents can shine:

  • Landscaping & Flower Planting: Beautify the camp with colorful blooms.

  • Painting & Other Projects: Help spruce up our spaces and make them shine!

We host groups year-round, and many hands make light work. Whether you're here for a day or a longer stay, your efforts will help support the camp’s ongoing ministry and impact.

Volunteering Camp Counselors

We’re thrilled that you’re considering volunteering with us this summer! Before you get started, there are just a few things we need from you:

Please go to https://wesleywoods.campbrainregistration.com and sign up for the camp you are volunteering with specifically - Choose “Volunteers 2024” as your season.

Please email your clearances and mandated reporter certificate to office@wesleywoods.com

‍Clearances are good for 5 years and are free for volunteers. If you have them for work and they are within the last 5 years you may submit those.If you believe you have submitted them before please email office@wesleywoods.com and we will see if they are in the new system

Clearances that you need to complete:

PA Child Abuse Clearance
Volunteers are free but you must create an account and submit and then send the results to us: https://www.compass.state.pa.us/cwis/public/home

‍PA Criminal History Clearance
Volunteers are free, submit and send us the certificate when finished: https://epatch.pa.gov/home

‍Mandated Reporter
Is a 3 hour course that must be completed and submit the certificate at the end. Create an account and you can stop along the way to finish over different days.  https://www.reportabusepa.pitt.edu/

FBI Fingerprinting
‍FBI fingerprinting costs $22.60. For volunteers that have lived outside of PA within the last 10 years you need to submit your FBI fingerprinting which is done through https://www.identogo.com/ create an account and find a location near you. You must sign up ahead of time and go to the location to be fingerprinted. Once your results come back to you we need the result form.
